Early Voting Begins This Week
(In-Person Absentee Voting)
Tuesday, October 22 - Friday, Nov. 1

Online or mail-in voter registration is now closed.
You can still register at
1) your local clerk's office,
2) at early voting sites, and
3) at the polls on Election Day.

Tuesday, October 29: last day to mail an absentee ballot.

You can submit your absentee ballot by
1) walking it in to early voting,
2) dropping it in your approved drop box, or
3) taking it to the polls on Election Day.

On November 5, voters must be prepared to answer a state referendum question on yet another of the legislature's proposed changes to the WI Constitution.

The League of Women Voters
recommends a NO vote.

Shall section 1 of article III of the constitution, which deals with suffrage, be amended to provide that only a United States citizen age 18 or older who resides in an election district may vote in an election for national, state, or local office or at a statewide or local referendum?"

What does a “Yes” or a “No” vote mean?

A "yes" vote...

supports the change to the constitution
removes the guarantee that “every” U.S. citizen has the right to vote
limits the right to vote to “only” U.S. citizens
opens the door to further limits to the right to vote.

A "no" vote

opposes the changes to the constitution
supports keeping the state constitution's guarantee that “every” U.S. citizen has the right to vote
imposes a burden on millions of legal and eligible voters who cannot easily acquire necessary papers
