Lawmakers propose legislation to "divvy up" electoral votes

Various  | Published on 2/7/2021

WISN's "Upfront" reported on a legislative proposal submitted in the WI State Senate on Feb 5, 2021, to change the way Wisconsin would choose its members to the Electoral College.

SB 61, Electing Presidential Electors by Congressional Districts, was introduced and referred to the Committee on Elections, Election Process Reform and Ethics. This bill would move the state from allocating electors on a winner-take-all based on the statewide popular vote to allocating most of the electors on a district-by-district basis.
