November’s Lunch and Learn, “Addressing Homelessness in the La Crosse Area,” will delve into causes of area homelessness and discuss how area nonprofits, the city, and the county are helping to address the situation. In addition, the panel will provide information about cooperation among agencies and budget concerns.
The League supports programs and policies that prevent or reduce poverty, promote self-sufficiency for individuals and families, provide decent, adequate standards for food, clothing and shelter, provide a decent home and suitable living environment for every American family, and support violence prevention programs in communities.
