Centennial Founders Fund Campaign!





Our founding members met in August of 1924 at the home of Alice Hixon, committing in their inaugural minutes to education in citizenship and getting out the vote. 

It is remarkable that 100 years later our purpose remains nearly the same. Your unrestricted contribution to our new Founders Fund will be used to support 100 more years of our members' work dedicated to the mission of Defending Democracy and Empowering Voters.  


 


Your gift to the  LWVLA, a 501c3 organization, is tax-deductible. Our local League shares membership dues with the state and national Leagues, so we count on donations to support our local work, including

  • Community event tabling fees
  • Get-Out-the-Vote campaign materials and advertising 
  • Lunch & Learn venues and speakers
  • Technology and media for voter education
