There are several ways to increase your "voting knowledge" this election season. The League of Women Voters of the La Crosse Area has those available under the 2025 Elections tab on their home page.
Another good way is to access your personalized ballot on VOTE411.org. Candidates questions and answers are posted there so you can compare the candidates and make decisions about whom you want to vote for before arriving at the polls. | Primary Feb 18, 2025

ABOUT YWCA LA CROSSE:
In 1903, before the nation saw them as equals, Coulee Region women and men united to take action to help their most vulnerable neighbors and voted to found YWCA La Crosse, which was later officialized in 1906. For decades, YWCA La Crosse provided programs to inspire girls to grow into leaders of tomorrow, advocate for women and vulnerable populations, and empower women to work toward self-sufficiency.
Over 120 years later, YWCA La Crosse continues its mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Its mission is accomplished through the impactful programs of our different programs: Supportive Housing, Restorative Justice, CASA For Kids, Child Center, and Mission Impact.

As a midwife and healer, she is privy to much of what goes on behind closed doors in Hallowell. But when a local physician undermines her conclusion, declaring the death to be an accident, Martha is forced to investigate the shocking murder on her own. The Frozen River is a thrilling, tense, and tender story about a remarkable woman who left an unparalleled legacy yet remains nearly forgotten to this day.
