La Crosse Mayoral candidate conversation videos are available for you!

To encourage voter interest and participation in the upcoming primary election on February 18th, the La Crosse Area League and partners are sharing recorded conversations with the four La Crosse mayoral candidates. These interviews give an opportunity to meet each candidate and learn about their views on local issues of interest to our community.

Candidate Names in alphabetical order:
Chris Kahlow, Vicki Markussen, Ellie McLoone, Shaundel Washington-Spivey
Interviewed by:
Beth Franklin, CEO, La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce

Each conversation lasts about 20 minutes. Each candidate was asked the same questions in the same order following their 2-minute opening statement. Questions were prepared by the coalition partners, including UW-L students.

Voter participation is important in primaries because only the two mayoral candidates receiving the most votes will advance to the upcoming Spring Election on April 1.
