You're Invited to our Celebration of 100 Years in La Crosse
Please join us as we celebrate at the Cappella Center! Concert pianist David Marck has kindly offered to perform in support of our League. Apothik will serve appetizers and a non-alcoholic beverage. Cash bar will be available. We would appreciate an RSVP response for food service by Sept. 6 at lwvlacrosse.org/rsvp.

On August 22, 1924, the La Crosse chapter of The League of Women Voters was established at a meeting at Alice Hixon's house where she invited then Wisconsin League President, Mrs. Harry Thomas of Sheboygan, to explain its mission as "Getting out the women's vote and educational work along political lines." At the time, the focus was on educating women only since this right had recently been established in 1920. Our mission is similar today, as we strive to empower all eligible voters and defend democracy.
